The World Needs YOU!

I believe the world needs YOU!

The unique person you are.

Your history, your story, your strengths (and struggles), your personality, and your heart are necessary to build a better world.

I'm sure you've heard it said that no two snowflakes are alike. It's true!

There are billions of snowflakes, each is unique, and together they create a winter wonderland.

Think of a bouquet of a dozen roses.

If they are plastic roses, they all look the same...boring!

But when they are REAL roses, each one is slightly different.

It's the differences that make the bouquet interesting and attractive!

Mother nature creates an abundance of variety in everything she does.

No duplicates, no repeats. It's the diversity that captures our mind and heart.

Let's celebrate your uniqueness!

Quit trying to be like anyone else, just to fit in!

Think of Barbara Streisand....specifically, her nose.

She was told many times that she should have it "fixed."

But instead of changing, so that she could look like the average girl, her nose became a symbol of her power.

According to Vogue magazine, Streisand literally redefined what it means to be beautiful.

I'm sure you can think of many other examples of the uniqueness of people.

It's their differences that set them apart and make people notice and remember them....with admiration.

“Don't Change So People Will Like You -

Be Yourself and the Right People Will Love the Real You!”

Continuing in the field of music, how about Pharrell Williams?

The singer of the song "Happy" has certainly created his own style...and become both a very popular singer and a style icon.

He's even been in GQ...not once, but several times!

In any arena, it's differences that are celebrated.

How about football?

It's the unique players, like Tim Tebow, who get the attention.

This isn't to say that you can't make changes in yourself, if YOU want them.

Be the ultimate version of yourself!

The challenge is to move "TOWARD" your best self,

rather than moving "AWAY FROM" ways you don't like yourself.

Personally I have always preferred authentic people,

who may be a little "crazy," but they're fun and always interesting!

(See my husband, Dixon, in the picture below, LOL!)

So, think about what makes you different.

Do you criticize yourself for your differences?

Could you rethink your uniqueness and learn to love and appreciate yourself?

Oscar Wilde said, "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken."

As I said in the beginning, I believe the world needs YOU!
